I GOT IT!!!
I will be employed next spring. Woo-hoo! The head of the department just called, said some lovely, complimentary things and offered me the job. Of course it's not tenure track or anything but that will be the next step. For now it's enough that I have a job that will help my career and I get to live with my husband for a while.
