if only I could sew...
Nevermind that my friend, Jo, gave me her old (yet extremely nice) sewing machine. I've been afraid to touch it without lessons for fear of breaking the lovely thing. This just seems very fun and the folks at Spool even have a pattern for it. I am just that pathetic. Of course, I suspect getting it all to balance wonderfully is quite the accomplishment.
Do you think I'll have time to learn how to sew after the baby arrives?
Yeah, I didn't think so either.

If not pressured to have it before I come out there, I'll do the birds and maybe we can make an extra 10 minutes somehow for me to show you how to use your machine.

This is great! Let me know if your friend Jeanette starts this project, as Jaime & I would love to add this to the nursery. There are a ton of handcrafted boutiques in Manhattan, and I believe we've passed by a place that might have this exact item.

PS - I'm planning on visiting while Mom is out there, returning the same day she is. I would arrive March 19th, leave March 21st. The current plan is to rent a car, so that I can take Mom back to the airport on Saturday when both of us leave.
