mail order husband?
Okay, this is cheating a little bit since my flight back from Philly got in late this evening and I have no energy to really post.
I'm not sure if Summers is still reading my blog but I had been promising her a S. African mail order husband for about a year now. Don't get excited Summers, he isn't in the U.S. yet (although you will be the first to know when he is). I just wanted to post a little teaser. This photo is from years ago when we were living in Oak Park, IL and Jaco visited us en route to Chile from where his plane to Antarctica departs (he's a meteorologist for an adventure company that supports trips to Antarctica -did I tell you?). His only flaw is that he spends half the year down there every year. Otherwise he is a good and charming man who knows how to treat a woman. Still interested?

You may get more responses to your mail order husband ad than you expect!! And how cool to go to Antarctica?? I want to go.
If there is a waiting list, I suspect Jaco won't mind in the least. Not that he's aware that he's on the market as a mail order husband. Let's just say, we'll give Summers first dibs and then start in the order of those contacting me. :)
